James Whitner's imprint has secured a notably prolific arrangement with adidas in 2026, translating into a methodical roll-out of distinctly curated pieces under the Do Not Duplicate banner. The latest chapter marks a significant moment: the debut of a silhouette entirely new to adidas's official catalog—the BW 00s.
The model follows the playbook established by its Campus 00s counterpart, scaling up proportions and introducing deliberate visual contrast. The exaggerated profile pairs the familiar T-toe and side-panel structure of the original BW Army trainer with a bulbous sole unit borrowed from the Superstar, complete with herringbone tread. A dual-layered spine adds dimensional relief, while offset tongue branding signals the Do Not Duplicate collection's now-signature design language.
Design & Materials
Both BW 00s colorways—Cream and Clay/Navy—employ cracked leather uppers layered with hairy suede accents. Fuzzy laces complete the texture-forward aesthetic, while semi-circular serration details pierce the eyelet collar in keeping with prior collaborative drops. This material hierarchy reflects Whitner's attention to tactile depth, moving beyond simple color substitution into craft-level distinction.
