Collina Strada x Converse Chuck 70 Releases June 16
New York–based sustainable fashion label Collina Strada reimagines the Converse Chuck 70 with a four-piece capsule that expands the silhouette's design language through exaggerated proportions, textural details, and layered prints. The collection drops June 16 across Converse's official channels.

Converse has spent the better part of a decade repositioning the Chuck 70 as a blank canvas for creative experimentation, and this inaugural partnership with Collina Strada exemplifies that strategy with precision. Rather than treating the Boston brand's canvas as untouchable, the New York label interrogates nearly every element—tongues extend dramatically, eyelets receive architectural treatment through spike applications, and charms dangle from anchor points throughout each pair.

The collection splits into two distinct visual lanes. The Chuck 70 XXHi and a Low iteration arrive in subdued, darkened palettes that allow intricate floral jacquards and delicate botanical prints to emerge as the focal point. Contrast this with the standard Chuck 70 High and its accompanying Low, which lean into a pastel spring color story that extends from collar to sole without interruption.

What ties the four pairs together is an intentional visual excess—plaids oppose jacquards, charms cluster along the sides, and proportions shift dramatically between the XXHi's maximalist silhouette and the subtler low-profile versions. This restraint-versus-indulgence interplay reflects Collina Strada's broader design philosophy: sustainability and craftsmanship expressed through deliberate, considered ornamentation.
