APB x adidas Powerphase Puff Drops June 20
The Whitaker Group's APB Store continues its collaborative momentum with adidas, transforming the Powerphase—a general fitness silhouette from the late 1980s—into a purpose-built skate shoe. The reimagined Powerphase Puff arrives as part of the Do Not Duplicate capsule and drops June 20.

APB's design philosophy for this iteration moves beyond nostalgic reissue territory. The Powerphase Puff introduces substantial padding throughout the collar and tongue, reinforced mesh underlays, and a combination of suede and leather overlays engineered for the impact and abrasion demands of modern skateboarding. Perforated toe detailing and tonal lace sets maintain visual restraint while a durable rubber outsole grounds the construction in technical purpose.

The low-profile silhouette retains the Powerphase's historical DNA—legible and clean—but the exaggerated cushioning fundamentally shifts its function. Do Not Duplicate metal hardware ties the release to the broader collaborative umbrella, establishing visual continuity across the series' other iterations like the EVO SL.
Community Beyond Commerce
APB's approach to this launch extends past retail. The retailer will host the APB x Revamp Skate Tournament on June 21 at its Charlotte location, positioning the Powerphase Puff as the centerpiece of a broader Go Skate Day activation. Cash prizes, food service, and opportunities for local skaters to compete create a community framework that many contemporary brand collaborations overlook.

The two colorway options arrive at $150 USD, a standard price point for adidas skateboarding collaborations. The EQL draw opens June 16 at 1 PM EST and closes June 18 at 3 PM EST, with official retail release following June 20 at 12 PM EST through APBStore.com and all APB locations.
