Jordan Brand is expanding its Comic collection beyond the Air Jordan 4 with a two-piece Air Jordan 1 pack. A Summit White and Arctic Pink Low and an all-black Mid arrive in July 2026, both tethered by vintage comic-book branding drawn from 1990s archive.

The Air Jordan 1 enters the Comic narrative as a complementary two-silhouette release, each pursuing its own visual direction while maintaining thematic cohesion through shared graphic elements. This approach—pairing the Low and Mid in a single drop—allows Jordan Brand to explore multiple design expressions within a single conceptual framework.

The Air Jordan 1 Low emerges as the collection's standout expression, dressed in Summit White with Light Arctic Pink and Silver accents. Mesh reinforcement at the quarter panel introduces textural contrast, while Jewel Wings logos ground the heel in metallic detail. The tongue carries a gradient-rendered Jumpman mark rendered in sunset tones—the same treatment applied to the accompanying Air Jordan 4. This color palette reads distinctly contemporary, a departure from traditional Jordan releases.

The Mid counterpart takes a more restrained approach, pivoting to an all-black upper while preserving the mesh quarter construction and identical Jewel Wings branding. Opti Yellow hits the sole, providing essential visual punctuation and preventing the silhouette from disappearing into tonal monotony. The contrast between inky leather and bright rubber creates directional appeal absent from many all-black drops.

Design Inspiration & Context

Both silhouettes draw from a decades-old Air Jordan tee originating in the 1990s—the kind of archival deep-cut that has become Jordan Brand's calling card in recent seasons. Rather than restating obvious nostalgia, the brand has abstracted the reference into a branding system, allowing the Mid and Low to function as distinct products within a unified visual language. This restraint distinguishes the Comic pack from more literal retro-revival drops flooding the market.
