The Shox TL has undergone a remarkable cultural shift since its debut as a performance-driven running platform in the early 2000s. What began as one of Nike Running's more technologically ambitious endeavors has matured into a lifestyle essential, a trajectory solidified through collaborations with Comme des Garçons and Rick Owens designer Riccardo Tisci. This fall, Nike continues pushing the model further into refined territory.
The all-black leather edition strips back the Shox TL's traditional construction—shedding mesh panels and synthetic overlays—in favor of a cohesive leather upper that reads far more sophisticated than its performance lineage might suggest.
