Nike SB Dunk Low Muni Fast Pass Surfaces in Lightning
Nike SB is expanding its Muni Fast Pass collection with an official look at the Lightning/Denim Turquoise iteration. The Bay Area transit-inspired Dunk Low follows the Safety Orange/Baroque Brown variant and draws from the defunct regional transit pass design system.

The latest chapter in Nike SB's regional homage series pulls from San Francisco's public transportation infrastructure. The Muni Fast Pass concept—named after the now-discontinued transit cards that rotated colorways seasonally—serves as the creative framework for this forthcoming Dunk Low release.
Design execution centers on a split nubuck upper rendered in Lightning and Denim Turquoise, mirroring the chromatic variety of the original pass system. Chrome-finished Swooshes trace both lateral and medial panels, adding metallic accent to the otherwise matte construction. The insole carries the geographic specificity: Nike SB branding shares space with an embossed Golden Gate Bridge, a direct reference to the Bay Area geography that inspired the project.

The colorway selection also acknowledges regional sports heritage. Lightning evokes the Oakland Athletics (currently in Sacramento pending relocation), while the cooler turquoise nod references Giants iconography—a subtle dual-team reference that respects the area's baseball legacy regardless of current front-office circumstances.
