Nike Air Max 95 Tech Arrives in Steam Colorway
Nike's latest interpretation of Sergio Lozano's Air Max 95 silhouette strips away the signature suede construction in favor of technical synthetics and translucent paneling. The Air Max 95 Tech arrives this summer in the light green-accented Steam colorway.

The Air Max 95 has proven itself a canvas for experimentation over the past three decades. From the Ultra to the Zip, Beaverton has pursued numerous directions with the silhouette — some more successful than others among purists. The Air Max 95 Tech marks another conceptual pivot, one that fundamentally reimagines the shoe's material identity.
Where suede once defined the 95's layered aesthetic, the Tech version introduces translucent synthetic panels with fine line detailing. The erosion-like overlays of the original give way to a cleaner, more futuristic surface treatment. The toe cap and mudguard adopt a textured rubber finish, grounding the upper in tactile contrast. These aren't subtle tweaks — they represent a material overhaul that preserves silhouette recognition while departing from heritage construction.

Design & Colorway
The Steam designation refers to the pale green tone running through the Swoosh, visible Air units, and elongated lace loops. It's a restrained approach to color blocking, letting the material innovations take center stage rather than relying on bold hue combinations. The colorway pairs with a reported Black/Smoke Grey option, suggesting Nike is pursuing a measured, tonal palette for the Tech line.
Lengthened lace loops and the refined synthetic construction hint at a silhouette designed for contemporary aesthetics — leaner and less bulbous than traditional 95 cuts, yet unmistakably connected to the lineage.
