The partnership marks a strategic shift from Anna Sui's prior work with Converse on the WEAPON silhouette line. Rather than performance hoops, this iteration grounds the designer's aesthetic in the All Star's cultural vocabulary—a canvas high-top stripped of unnecessary detail and primed for embellishment.
The construction remains faithful to Converse's blueprint: a black canvas upper serves as the foundation. From there, Anna Sui's hand becomes evident. A filigreed butterfly motif appears embroidered along the lateral quarter panel, rendered in metallic thread work that catches light with deliberate restraint. The same butterfly imagery repeats as a custom charm affixed to glitzy, speckled shoelaces that contrast sharply against the dark upper.
